Upgrade Information To all Netscape Users using versions 4.5, 4.6 and 4.7: Due to increased cyber attacks by spammers and hackers, all ISPs are upgrading their mail filters to increase our protection of our subscribers email. This creates some problems with older versions of browsers such as the one you are using. We recommend you upgrade your Netscape software (which is free) by going to http://home.netscape.com/computing/download/index.html?cp=hophb2 Upgrading to the latest software will increase the security of your home computer while you are on the internet. If you do not wish to do this, you may use the instructions below to fix your settings or you can call us toll free at 800-793-1947 and we will assist you. Instructions to Correct Netscape 4.x Mail Settings 1. Open up Netscape 2. Left mouse click on Edit 3. Left mouse click on Preferences in the drop down menu 4. Double click on Mail and Newsgroups 5. Double click on Mail Servers 6. Both the Incoming Mail and Outgoing Mail should be set to either mail.tidalwave.net or mail.purespeed.com (depending on whether your email is @tidalwave.net or @purespeed.com) 7. The Outgoing Mail Server Username should be your username, in other words johndoe@tidalwave.net or johndoe@purespeed.com (again depending on whether your email address is @tidalwave.net or @purespeed.com) If you continue to have problems or are unsure about this message, please call our toll free technical support number at 800-793-1947.
